I had it all planned out. It was Bob’s birthday. I had totally ignored it in our pre-show prep and in the first segment of the show. Then, I was going to play a bit of a joke on him during the second segment. You’d never really know by listening to the show, but everything went wrong – partly because of my poor planning, and partly because Bob gave a rediculously huge hint to the first caller as to how old he was. So, the joke never materialized. After the show, I told Bob what I had planned. He got a big kick out of the fact that it crashed and burned! The joke’s on me I guess. Oh well. Maybe I’ll get him next year!
